Episode eight got many votes as the best so far this season, and you certainly had a lot to say about it. Jaison got kudos for stepping up when his back was to the wall, consensus was that Shambo, who also doesn't present a threat at this point, stands to go deep, and no one seems to believe that Evil Russell will be next to go. Wow, that has to be one of the best, most action packed merge episodes we have seen in a long time. We really enjoyed watching all the scheming and scrambling for position with multiple twists and a super blindside vote out thrown in for good measure. Will Galu proceed to self destruct? Can you see any way for the the Foa Foa underdogs to rally? How do you think Laura and John faired in this episode? Could Jaison go far now that everyone agrees he is no threat? Beyond Reality - Survivor Samoa Recap 11/05/09 Last time on Survivor Liz was voted off. Foa Foa is down to 4 & Russell still thinks hes in charge. At Galu Shambo & Laura arent getting along. Reward challenge - The treasure chest reveals its the merge, new buffs & a feast. The new name of the tribe is Aiga which means extended family. Russell tries to make deals with several of the people from Galu. He wants to get rid of Laura this week. Individual Immunity - Its Survivor T-Ball Theres two necklaces - one for the ladies & one for the men. John wins immunity for the men & Laura wins immunity for the ladies. Russells plans are ruined. Tribal Council - Russell & Erik both bring their hidden immunity idols. Erik talks smack about the former Foa Foa tribe & especially about Jaison. Russell is nervous & plays his hidden immunity idol. Erik is voted off by at least seven votes without playing his hidden immunity idol. Next time - Russell is the new target - hes out of friends, has no more immunity idol & is out of ideas.
